Weighing
in the order of micrograms can be accomplished by any
operator. The Shimadzu AEM-5200 embodies remarkable features:
excellent sensitivity, self correcting functions, and
reliable results obtained with a single measurement.
Dual
shield structure
The AEM-5200's weighing chamber has a dual shield structure
to prevent the errors caused by buoyancy and convection
due to small differences between the temperatures of the
sample and the surrounding air.
The AEM-5200's unique chamber structure allows samples
to be equalized in temperature with that of the chamber
before measurements.
|
| |
|
PSC
The AEM-5200 automatically self-calibrates when it detects
temperature changes.
Controlled heat emission
CPPM Internal heat emission stays constant regardless of the
load being weighed. |
| |
|
| |
Warming-up
function
When and after AEM-5200 remains unused for 30 minutes, it
enters the warming-up stage. It will thereafter automatically
open and shut the dual shield to change the air of the weighing
chamber at an interval of 30 minutes.
This minimizes the temperature gap between the air inside
and outside the chamber, and contributes to its constant
high accuracy. |
| |
|
| |
Self-correction
of zero point drift
The AEM-5200 automatically monitors and cancels zero point
drift, a function critical to obtaining accurate microweighing
results.
No special attention to drift is required during measurements.

|
| |
Remote
operation unit
There is no vibration transmitted to the sensitive detector
from key operations. The doors of the chamber are also operated
from the remote key panel.
Optional interface
Optional interface enables the balance to communicate with
a computer. |
